Affirmative to Negative

பொருள் மாறாமல் ஒரு சாதாரண வாக்கியத்தை எதிர்மறை வாக்கியமாக மாற்ற, அந்த வார்த்தையின் எதிர்ச்சொல்லை (Opposite) பயன்படுத்தி “not” சேர்க்க வேண்டும்.

உதாரணங்கள்:

1. Affirmative: He is honest. (அவன் நேர்மையானவன்).
2. Negative: He is not dishonest. (அவன் நேர்மையற்றவன் அல்ல – அதாவது நேர்மையானவன்).

• எ.கா: Brutus loved Caesar. ➔ Brutus was not without love for Caesar.
• எ.கா: As soon as he saw the tiger, he fled. ➔ No sooner did he see the tiger than he fled.
